So apparently the Suzuki Swift Sport is shit because it is naturally aspirated and therefore there is no way too "improve it". As I said, bollocks.
Anyway this isn't the discussion. During the conversation the topic of supercharged hot hatches came up because of bolt on kits and the such but it got me thinking why aren't there really any supercharged hot hatches? The closest we have are diesel hatches which usually have a combination of a turbo and supercharger.

Heat? I dunno. Either way, the Suzuki Swift as "unimprovable" is silly.

In the world of this conversation (which some how I kept out of) this meant ECU remap but no Turbo, no remap ... apparently.

Depends on ones definition of 'improve'.

Every day I'm surprised by where some people get their ideas.

Make it faster via more power via turbo remap like a Golf. I decided to stay out of it partly because like sex, men think we know everything about cars and I didn't want to bruise any egos but mostly because I found their (no other way to put this) noob car knowledge amusing but hey we all have to start somewhere.

They were new car guys so I'll put it down to inexperience or maybe just general excitement. I remember when I may the transition from person who has a licence to car guy, it was an exciting time where you believe anything someone with a car says because they are driving a car while you are driving a bus pass.

If they have noob car knowledge, they need to be put in their place. Should of gone on a rant about the fact you could just turbo or S/C it, or cam the shit out the motor, or just strip the interior..etcetcetc

Nah it's better if they become independent because listening to other people is how they got in that situation to begin with.

Some magical shit
To the topic at hand, if you have an NA engine and want to "improve it" couldn't...I dunno...slapping a turbo on count as "improving"?

"but why aren't Turbo kits called Bolt on Turbos we have Bolt on Superchargers"
At this point I really wanted to bring up mighty car mods but I decided I best move out of the vicinity of that conversation.

I once went to a Suzuki dealership to look at the new Swift. I was greeted by a rather nice looking lady who started telling me all the all the specs of the car, how safe it was, etc. She made some mistakes, but who cares. I asked her about the Swift Sport, and she told me it was the sporty model and that it had a turbo. I knew it didn't, so I told her so. She was 100% percent sure it had a turbo, and even said she was willing to loose her job if it didn't have a turbo. Oh well.

I dont blame anyone for not liking the usdm corolla, toyota gives us the blandest fucking vehicles while all the other markets get cool shit.I think north america has gotten too cheap so they give us cheap boring cars.

Well...
The outgoing Škoda Fabia vRS has both turbo and a supercharger... As did the VW Polo GTI and Seat Ibiza FR.
